I have been attending Debbie’s classes for quite some time now but, due to the pandemic and lifestyle changes, these have recently been taking place via Zoom.
Debbie’s high standard of teaching, and the care she takes to ensure we are listening to our bodies, is excellent irrespective of where the class is taking place.
Whilst I miss the social aspect of seeing and talking to everyone personally, the zoom class has felt more like a private session with Debbie always encouraging and checking that a pose / exercise is being carried out safely and correctly.
I think the Zoom classes have allowed us to focus on what we can do as an individual and be mindful of what is right for our own body.

Having the opportunity to continue with both Yoga and Pilates during lockdown has helped me enormously, both physically and mentally.
As someone who is shielding I have found the lockdown incredibly isolating, but through Debbie’s classes I feel part of a community – even whilst being unable to see other people. Debbie has gone out of her way to build this sense of community, with WhatsApp groups to let us know about classes, and feedback and photos to keep us all involved, which I have really appreciated.
The routine provided by Debbie’s classes has kept me motivated, but not only that, despite being at a distance, Debbie takes extra care to maintain the standard of teaching. For example, she makes sure we are prepared before class, watches us during class and gives us feedback, as well as keeping up to date with everyone’s aches providing alternative postures to help.
Debbie has adapted her classes to the current situation in a way that goes beyond practical considerations. Each week centres around a theme or intention, which seem perfectly tailored to the current news and issues. For example, working on posture to help those working from home. Before each class she talks to us about what is happening and the impact it has on us physically and mentally. In this way, her classes have gone far beyond mere exercise, they have been so important to my physical, mental and emotional health, and given me a sense of focus and community throughout this period, and for all of this I could not be more grateful to Debbie
Your classes are helping to distract my mind from what’s currently going on.
I’ve really been enjoying the sessions and whilst I don’t tend to join in with the conversations (there’s not much I can really add to a conversation about ladies body shapes) I do enjoy having a cup of tea whilst doing the classes. Joking aside, I have no problems with motivation and do enjoy it when you have a weekly theme. I actually find that they’re not only helping with the normal aches and pains but they’re helping to give me a little more structure to my days and are helping to distract my mind from what’s currently going on.

I have found the classes really beneficial during the lockdown. I feel so much better being able to take part in yoga classes l know if it wasn’t for the class I probably wouldn’t bother. You have offered a great time table with plenty of choice, long may you continue.

I welcomed the Yogatri Zoom classes right from the start.
I welcomed the Yogatri Zoom classes right from the start. Living alone they have really helped me to maintain my practice and give me some structure to my weeks. Seeing the familiar faces is lovely and I feel like I am right there with you in your lovely studio. I am certainly feeling the benefits in my mobility and posture.
I do find some of the ‘flow’ work challenging and would love to see a second easier class at the back end of the week. I feel the classes gives great value for money too. Indeed, I am hoping that the online classes will continue. I will be moving out of the area in the next few weeks and I really want to continue my practice with you so please don’t stop!

I enjoy all your classes. I like the fact that you build challenge into each one.
It is so important that we make time to focus on being in the present, especially when we are on our mat. It is easy to get caught in the loop of stress and anxiety, when we are surrounded by so much uncertainty. You go out of your way to facilitate this.
I would have no hesitation in recommending your classes to other people. They would definitely benefit from your knowledge and expertise. This all comes with the added benefit of being part of the Yogatri community. Everyone is so supportive and friendly. We all bring something different to the party and that is part of its charm.
I have benefitted hugely from your classes
I love doing my 3 classes a week with you and feel that I have benefitted hugely from them. Firstly, it was because I wasn’t able to go out and therefore needed to exercise but I genuinely feel better (it’s obvious to say) as the more you do the better it is.
I’m very grateful that you started up so promptly and I know in part that was a business decision but you’ve undoubtedly made a lot of people happy. I do have to push myself a bit because of my painful hip and knee, but I need to keep my muscles and joints as flexible as possible.

I want to say a huge thank you to you, as along with many businesses you have amended how you deliver your amazing classes in such a short period of time.
Your classes really keep me sane at the hardest of times and give me the time to focus my mind, which particularly during this time can be very difficult. I think the adaptations you have made are helping so many people to cope with this situation. I can’t wait until we can all be back in class together, but in the meantime I still look forward to your online classes. You are an amazing teacher who considers all your yogis and carefully plans the classes to be inclusive for all. You’re not only a teacher but someone who cares for everyone who does your classes.

I have been coming to Debbie’s classes for a year now and having attended various other yoga classes in the area I can honestly say that Debbie’s is by far the best. She always changes her classes to keep them varied and always offer different levels depending on fitness & flexibility.
I always come away from Debbie’s class feeling stretched & relaxed.

I look forward to Thursday night! Yoga is nothing like I expected it to be. I leave feeling relaxed but also like I have had a workout. I am more flexible and energetic as a result of the class.
Debbie does a fun, accessible class where we can all participate at our own levels. The sessions are always varied and fun. I am now more aware of my breathing and muscle control in my normal day-to-day life.
When I’m feeling stressed, I use the exercises and poses I have learnt. My children are looking forward to coming to Debbie’s Yogatri-be and Yogatri-tots.
It’s never too late to learn Yoga!
As a relative newcomer to Yoga, I thoroughly enjoy the classes I attend with Debbie. She is a very patient and understanding teacher who is always prepared to listen to any concerns you may have.
We are a mixed class of men and women of various ages, so as an oldie, I feel the benefit of these classes.
I would highly recommend anyone to try this out. It just goes to show you are never too old to learn!
I arrived at my first class feeling apprehensive – and left feeling hooked!
I am a complete newbie to Yoga and Debbie’s was my first ever class. I arrived feeling very apprehensive, not knowing what to expect. I felt about as flexible as a concrete block and was worried that everyone else would be Yoga professionals and would be able to wrap their leg around their head! After a few minutes, I quickly realised that I had no reason to be nervous. Debbie put me at ease immediately and the class had a range of ages and abilities, including new starters like me.
Debbie’s instructions are very clear and she gives every one of her students individual assistance to make sure you get the most out of the class.
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and felt as though I had done a full workout – while being completely relaxed at the same time! I can’t recommend Debbie’s classes highly enough. She lives and breathes all of the benefits of Yoga and I’m so pleased I made the decision to give it a go.

I have been fortunate enough to come to Debbie’s classes for the last couple of years at Emmanuel College, and it is no exaggeration to say that these Yoga classes have transformed the way I feel! The aches and pains I had come to accept as part of getting older are no more!

I have been attending Debbie’s classes for eighteen months and during that time I have found her to be dedicated to helping people relax and gain confidence in their own abilities in a calm and encouraging atmosphere. Debbie is considerate and aware that there are times when we may have an injury, discomfort or pain and always checks before class to see if anyone has a problem.
Each pose is demonstrated with three alternative levels for different abilities so that everyone can choose which they feel is comfortable for them. Where necessary, Debbie will make gentle adjustments and give advice to ensure a beneficial position. Her classes are very friendly and we always come away smiling.
Over the years I have attended a number of classes and, undoubtedly, Debbie is up there at the top.
